"Shandy" originally started out life as a 22 ft. Cape Cod Catboat built for John Ratzenberger, the actor who played Cliff Clavin, the postman on the Cheers television show. He is also the host of "Made in America", a Discovery Channel series featuring businesses that make and produce products in the United States. He sailed this boat with his family at their home on Puget Sound.  Later she came back to our shop and was purchased by one of our customers to be modified and used as the base of a motor sailor concept that he had.  The stern was modified and the hull stretched to her current length of 25'-6" and a pilothouse was added to the end of the trunk cabin. Hydraulic steering was added to the pilothouse (cockpit steering was retained from the original design), and new electronics were added.  The result is a simply wonderful vessel, stable and comfortable in almost any weather, and a snug Northwest style cruiser.  At the mature age of 87 years, the owners Rich and Lisa, have finally decided to hang up their sailing togs and it's time to find a new home for "Shandy".

She is located in Olympia, Washington.
